Aufgeregt, glücklich und frei wachte ich heute Morgen neben Radhika auf: Nachdem ich Südindien durchquert und einen Abstecher auf die im Osten liegenden Andamanen gemacht hatte, ging es jetzt Richtung Süden um die Südspitze Indiens zurück nach Goa. Radhika wird mich die ersten 3 Tage meiner 1-monatigen Reise mit Manju, Chauffeur von Sas & Das Tourism, begleiten...
I felt excited, happy and free when I woke up next to Radhika this morning: After having crossed South India and made a trip to the Andamans in the east, I now headed south to India's southern tip and then back to Goa. Radhika will join me the first 3 days of my 1-month voyage with Manju, driver of Sas & Das Tourism...

Nach
einem Dosa Frühstück mit Kokosnuss-Chutney von Kanagavalli mit viel Liebe
zubereitet, übergab uns Johnny von Bas & Das Tourism um 10 Uhr in die Hände
von Manju und los ging es Richtung Pondicherry/Auroville. Manju ist super
sympathisch, kennt Südindien gut, spricht Englisch und entpuppte sich als
geduldiger Fotograf. Der Service ist perfekt: Genügend mineralisiertes Wasser
an Bord, stoffüberzogene Sitze mit kuscheligen Kissen und ein WiFi Modem, das
mir ermöglicht während der Fahrt zu arbeiten! : ))
After a dosa breakfast with coconut chutney prepared with love by Kanagavalli, Johnny from Bas & Das Tourism handed us over to Manju at 10 am and off we went to Pondicherry/Auroville. Manju has a super nice personality, knows South India well, speaks English and turned out to be a good photographer. The service is perfect: enough mineralized water on board, fabric-covered seats with cozy cushions and a WiFi modem that enables me to work while driving! : ))

1/2 Stunden und 150 km Fahrt erreichten wir das Tanto Far Beach Retreat in
Pondicherry/Auroville, wo ich bei Reka für 3 Nächte ein Zimmer gebucht hatte.
Ein Volltreffer: Der ideale Ort um mich vom Andaman Schock zu erholen! Mit dem
besten high speed Internet bisher machte es richtig Spass aufzuarbeiten... Der
eigene biologische Garten und die liebevolle Küche garantierten für super Food
und der endlose wilde Kaladipet Strand lud ein um barfuss im Bikini joggen oder
spazieren (Radhika) zu gehen... Zum Schwimmen waren mir die Strömung und Wellen
jedoch zu stark, aber der fantastische Pool des Tanto Far Beach Retreats
entschädigte vollends! : )
After a 2 1/2 hours' and 150 km drive we reached Tanto Far Beach Retreat in Pondicherry/Auroville, where I had booked a room for 3 nights with Reka. A bull's eye: The ideal place to recover from the Andaman shock! With the best high speed internet so far it was a pleasure to catch up with work... The own organic garden and kitchen guaranteed for super food and the endless wild Kaladipet beach invited to go barefoot in a bikini for a run or a walk (Radhika)... The currents and waves were too strong for me to swim, but the fantastic pool of the Tanto Far Beach Retreat made up for it completely! : )

Unser
Programm war total auf Erholung ausgerichtet: nicht zu viel pro Tag! So
besuchten wir am Mittwoch das sagenumworbene Auroville - jeder, der schon
hier war riet mir diesen spirituellen Ort zu besuchen! Ein riesiges Gelände,
eröffnet nicht nur physisch Weite sondern auch geistige Weitsicht! Im Zentrum
befindet sich das Matrimandir, das spirituelles Zentrum mit dem grösstem (70
cm) Kristall der Welt im Mittelpunkt. Die internationale Gemeinde bekam bei
ihrer Gründung 1968 Erde aus 124 Nationen geschenkt. Ich konnte die starken
Energien der Gemeinschaft deutlich spüren und mein Körper reagierte mit
Gänsehaut! - Wieder zeigt das Leben, dass alles möglich ist und Indien ist so
offen für Spirituelles - in welchem Land ist das sonst möglich? Sehr
beeindruckend, was vereinte Energie einer Einheit bewirken kann!
Our programme was dedicated mainly to relaxation: not too many things a day! So on Wednesday we visited legendary Auroville - everyone who has been here advised me to visit this spiritual place! A wide area not only opens up physical expanse but also spiritual vision! In the centre there is the Matrimandir, the spiritual center with the largest (70 cm) crystal in the world in its core. The international community received earth from 124 nations when it was founded in 1968. I could clearly feel the strong energies of the community and my body reacted with goose bumps! - Again life shows that everything is possible and India is so open to spiritual things - in which other country is this possible? Very impressive what combined energy of an unity is able to accomplish!

Am
Donnerstag mieden wir die Hitze (Temperaturen: tagsüber 35, nachts 25 Grad, am
Meer angenehm mit Brise) und hielten uns hauptsächlich im Schatten auf.
Entweder im gemütlichen Zimmer mit Meerblick oder an/im Pool... Am Abend fuhr
uns Manju in die Stadt Pondicherry, zuerst ins französische Quartier mit seinen
Kopfsteinpflaster- Strassen. Die Stadt ist ziemlich gross aber viel ruhiger als
die andern, wir benötigten jedoch 20 Minuten für 10 km. Der Verkehr ist viel
weniger aggressiv: Die Geschwindigkeit wird sogar gedrosselt und die Passanten
nicht einfach weggehupt...
Der erste
Besuch galt dem Sri Aurobindo Ashram, der Gründerin von Auroville. Ich machte
aber gleich auf dem Absatz kehrt - so unhöflich war der Empfang! Dafür zog mich
gleich nebenan beim Ganesh Tempel die Elefantin Lakshmi in ihren Bann... alle
versicherten mir, dass sie sehr gut gehalten wird.
Thursday we avoided the heat (temperatures: 35 during the day, 25 centigrade at night, pleasant at the sea with a breeze) and stayed in the shade. Either in the cozy room with sea view or at/in the pool... In the evening Manju drove us to the city of Pondicherry, first to the French Colony with its cobblestone streets. The city is quite big but much quieter than the others, anyhow it took us 20 minutes for 10 km. The traffic is much less aggressive: The speed is even reduced and the pedestrians are not simply honked away...
The first visit was to the
Sri Aurobindo Ashram, the founder of Auroville. But I immediately turned on my
heel - the reception was that rude! On the other hand, next door at the Ganesh
Temple I was under the spell of the elephant Lakshmi... everyone assured me
that she was kept very well.

Ich halte
mich seit 15 Jahren von Medien aller Art fern um mich von der negativen
Manipulation zu schützen... die Leute erzählen mir das wirklich Wichtige! So
ist der Corona Virus auch mir zu Ohren gekommen, aber kaum jemand spricht hier
in Indien darüber - es herrscht null Panik! Auch wir beschlossen nun erst recht
zu leben und zu geniessen... so schlemmten wir im Theevu Plage Pepper Prawns
und Mahi Mahi, im Bay of Buddha auf der Dachrestaurant des Hotel Promenade
grossartigen gerösteter Bambus und einen Red Snapper, sowie auf der
Dachterrasse des Le Chateau Tandoori Tiger Prawns, gegrillten einheimischen
Fisch auf Spinat und überbackene Auberginen. Als wir uns um 23 Uhr ins
Nachtleben stürzen wollten, waren die Clubs und Bars schon zu...

I have been keeping away from all kinds of media for 15 years to protect myself from negative manipulation... people always tell me the really important things! That's how the Corona Virus came to my ears, but hardly anyone speaks about it here in India - there is no panic at all! We also decided to live and enjoy the now and here even more... so we feasted at the Theevu Plage pepper prawns and mahi mahi, at the Bay of Buddha on the roof top restaurant of the Hotel Promenade great roasted bamboo and a red snapper, as well as on the roof terrace of Le Chateau Tandoori tiger prawns, grilled local fish on spinach and aubergine au gratin. When we wanted to dive into nightlife at 11 pm, the clubs and bars were already closed...
