Heute Morgen habe ich bis 11 Uhr in meinem kuscheligen Bett geschlafen! : ) Den Verkehr und vor allem den Zug hört man zwar abends besser als mit den Tagesgeräuschen und dann waren da noch die Hunde, die auch hier in der Nacht das Revier übernehmen (wie ich im letzten Sommer bereits in Nordindien bemerkt hatte: https://franziskaaeschbach21.blogspot.com) - ich hab einfach alles ignoriert und ohne Oropax geschlafen, so müde war ich.

This morning I slept in my cozy bed until 11am! : ) The traffic and especially the train can be heard better in the evening than with the daytime noises and then there were the dogs, they take over the area here at night also (like I had already noticed in northern India last summer: https://franziskaaeschbach21.blogspot.com) - I just ignored everything and slept without earplugs, so tired was I.

Eine halbe Stunde später war ich beim Frühstück und genoss Porridge und frisch gepressten Orangen-Anananssaft aus dem Auswahlmenu… Willkommen im Paradies!

Half an hour later I was at breakfast and enjoyed porridge and freshly squeezed orange and pineapple juice from the menu… Welcome to paradise!

Um 13 Uhr hatte ich meine erste Massage bei Shilpa & Shiva: Abhyangam = ayurvedische Ganzkörpermassage. Ich habe ein 10-er Abo gelöst, das nach dem kraftvollen Panchakarma aufgebaut ist (geistige und körperliche Entschlackung)... mal sehen, ob ich wie neu nach 10 Tagen hier weiterziehen werde?

At 1:00 pm I had my first massage with Shilpa & Shiva: Abhyangam = ayurvedic full body massage. I purchased a 10-day-pass, which is based on the powerful Panchakarma (mental and physical detoxification)... let's see if I will move on like new from here after 10 days?

Am Nachmittag unternahm ich einen Spaziergang um die nähere Umgebung zu erforschen. Ich spazierte zur Patnem Beach, die man in 5-10 Minuten erreicht vom Palm Trees Ayurvedic Heritage. Dieses liegt wie eine Oase unter vielen Palmen am Fluss, umgeben von einem kleinen, authentisches Dorf. Unterwegs hat es viele Restaurants und Geschäfte. Am Strand spülte ich nun zuerst das Massageöl im warmen Meer ab. Die Temperaturen hier in Goa sind übrgens: Luft tagsüber 30 und nachts 24 Grad, Wasser 28 Grad.

In the afternoon I went for a walk to explore the surrounding area. I walked to Patnem Beach, which is a 5-10 minute walk from the Palm Trees Ayurvedic Heritage. The resort seems an oasis under many palm trees on the river, surrounded by a small, authentic village. There are many restaurants and shops along the way. On the beach, I first rinsed off the massage oil in the warm sea. By the way, temperatures here in Goa are: air 30 at daytime and 24 at night, water 28 centigrade.

Plan gegen / against Psoriasis

Um 15:30 Uhr hatte Danny, der Besitzer, für mich ein Treffen mit Prof. Dr. Avadhut arrangiert, ein Ayurvedamedizin-Spezialist, der extra für mich über eine Stunde anreiste... Ich leide seit 2 Jahren an schrecklichen Schuppenflechten, die angefangen hat meine Nägel zu zerstören! Nach einem intensiven Gespräch, Begutachtung meiner Haut und Fühlung des Pulses sagte er mir, dass ich unbedingt Milchprodukte meiden soll. Er gab mir einige Dosen aus seinem Rucksack (er hatte verschiedene Medikamente dabei) und schrieb mir den Plan auf, wie die kitibha kushta = Psoriasis geheilt werden wird...

At 3:30 pm Danny, the owner, had arranged a meeting for me with Prof. Dr. Avadhut, an ayurvedic medicine specialist who travelled over an hour especially for me... I have been suffering from terrible psoriasis since 2 years, which has started to destroy my nails! After an intensive conversation, examining of my skin and feeling my pulse, he told me that I should definitely avoid dairy products. He gave me a few cans from his backpack (he had various medications with him) and wrote down the plan how kitibha kushta = psoriasis will be cured...

Danach besuchte ich meinen ersten Yoga-Kurs: Hatha Yoga mit Anuj. Im Palm Trees Ayurvedic Heritage finden die ganze Woche täglich mehrere unterschiedliche Yoga Kurse statt - spannend!

Then I attended my first yoga class: Hatha Yoga with Anuj. The Palm Trees Ayurvedic Heritage hosts several different yoga classes every day throughout the week - exciting!

Zum Abendessen setzte ich mich ins Resort-Restaurant Curry Leaf an den Fluss. Da ich morgen mit der Phase 1 der Entgiftung beginne ist es vorläufig mein letztes richtiges Essen… mit einem Glas indischem Weisswein...

For dinner I took a table at the Curry Leaf resort restaurant on the river. As I start with phase 1 of the detoxification tomorrow it is for the time being my last real meal... with a glass of Indian white wine...

Nach einem ereignisreichen Tag, zog ich mich in mein geräumiges Cottage zurück und war glücklich an diesem Ort hier gelandet zu sein: Das super nette Personal und die Umgebung geben mir das Gefühl während der Ayurveda-Entgiftungskur gut aufbewahrt zu sein – und Goa scheint mit eh ein perfekter Ort zum Ankommen, zwar etwas touristisch, aber es hat alles, was das Herz begehrt und ist herrlich entspannt. : ))

After an eventful day, I retired to my spacious cottage and was happy to have landed here: The super nice staff and the surroundings give me the feeling of being well kept during the Ayurveda detoxification cure – and Goa seems to be a perfect place to arrive, a bit touristic, but there is everything your heart desires and it is wonderfully relaxed. : ))
